Change Your Future
“For last year’s words belong to last year’s language. And next year’s words await another voice.” – T. S. Eliot
Say Goodbye to Negative Words
Limit. Can’t. No. Failure. Stress. Despair. Guilt. Doubt.
Whatever negative words you have heard this year, it’s time to let them go.
Scrub Off Negative Labels
And then there’s the negative labels others have stuck on you. This is one of the mistakes I cover in The Book of Mistakes that the most successful people master.
Don’t let the negative labels others carelessly slapped on you stay with you. From “not management material” or “not a team player” to “lazy” and “worthless,” it’s time to scrub them off like those sticky price tags on a present.
“Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you’ll start having positive results.” -Willie Nelson
Eliminate Negative Thoughts
Do you ever have those repetitive thought patterns that simply will not go away? You replay your doubts: “The boss is going to hate this.” “I’m no good.” “Why am I bothering?”
It’s time for them to go away, too.
Recognize the pattern. Slow down and breathe. Visualize the thoughts drifting away. Replace them with the positive. “I’ve got this!” “I’m getting better and better.” “I look awesome today.”
One of the most important tools in our success arsenal is self-talk. The scripture says, “For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.”
Often the worst critic we face is the one inside us.
This year let’s work to remove last year’s negative and replace it with this year’s positive. Tune in to the station that lifts you up. Surround yourself with people who inspire you.
Here’s to your amazing year ahead!
