A Quick Start for Your Day – My Conversation With Joel Osteen

Two words sure to help you jump start 2012:  Joel Osteen.  Whether you read his latest book Every Day A Friday: How to be Happier 7 Days a Week or watch his televised sermons, I am sure he will inspire you.  Yesterday, I reflected on my visit to Lakewood.  Here is my interview with Pastor Joel Osteen.

So many people hate on Joel, but I really enjoy and respect him!  Great interview as always!  Got to know both of your hearts a bit better through it.

If someone is new to your blog, I suggest they start with your videos.  You’ve done some really great interviews.  Thanks for this one.

Inspiration. I love Joel’s constant message of expectation of abundance and that good things are ahead. While his description of the TV show was brief at the end – it will be a powerful experience to watch with the family – a real inspiration for how to live our lives in service of others. We need more successful leaders demonstrating a love and care for others and Joel will help shine a light on that.

I think the shift in business and the attitudes of success and business are changing. The recent Ad Age article covers this idea well, much better than me – http://adage.com/article/news/dawn-relationship-era-marketing/231792/ and what Joel’s TV show will do is show even more of that human element in action.

Thanks for sharing this video Skip, and for connecting with me on Twitter. In my past life, I dealt with your company while publishing a few books. I wish you the best of luck. Keep posting great content!

Great interview. I really enjoyed this post. I like how dynamic and energetic Skip is during each interview – like he is having a conversation with an old friend. He is very consistent. The way he talks to Joel Osteen and Condoleezza Rice is the way he talks to me.

Great interview to kick off our New Year. What a great resolve to begin working on your approach to every day and have a “Friday Attitude” everyday of the week. I like how Pastor Osteen reminds us that there are “no surprises to God.” I loved the Texas A&M/SEC question AND learning about his new reality show with Mark Burnett. Very informative interview!
